Large Hickory Bowl

This large hickory bowl has been turned on the lathe and dyed with sumi ink. The application of sumi ink produces a rich black tone while also enriching the beautiful grain of the hickory.  A perfect accent piece in the kitchen or dining room.

The bowl has been coated with a non-toxic mixture of beeswax and mineral oil.

Due to the water-based nature of sumi ink, this bowl is not suitable for washing and is not recommended for use with food.
